Terms and Conditions (T&C)

1. Scope

By entering the premises of Fun World Switzerland AG (“Fun World”) and/or by booking any services (on-site or online), guests acknowledge these Terms and Conditions as well as the posted house rules as binding. Any deviations require written consent from Fun World Switzerland AG.

2. Opening Hours and Prices

Current opening hours and admission prices are displayed on-site, in information flyers, and on the website www.funworld.ch.

Purchased tickets or online tickets are non-refundable and will not be replaced if lost. Prices and services are subject to change.

3. Conduct and Use of Attractions

All guests are required to show consideration for others and use all facilities and play equipment properly. Parents or accompanying adults are solely responsible for supervising children; the operator does not assume any duty of care.

Use of all play equipment is at the guest’s own risk, notwithstanding the operator’s obligation to maintain the facilities in a safe condition. Certain areas (e.g. adventure labyrinth, ninja course, toddler area, trampolines) may only be entered with Fun World socks available at the cashier.

4. Food and Beverages

A wide range of catering options at market prices is available within Fun World. Bringing your own food and drinks is generally not permitted, except for baby food, which can be heated upon request. Eating and drinking are not allowed in the play area.

5. Online Bookings and Cancellations

Tickets, group packages, and events (e.g. birthday parties) can be booked through the Fun World Switzerland AG website.

Cash refunds for vouchers or entry fees are excluded.

6. Liability

Fun World Switzerland AG, its legal representatives, and agents are only liable for foreseeable, contract-typical, and direct damages in cases of slight negligence. The operator assumes no liability for self-inflicted accidents or damages resulting from improper use of facilities or other guests’ behavior.

This limitation does not apply in cases of injury to life, body, or health caused by the operator’s fault.

The operator is not liable for damaged clothing or lost items. Use of cloakrooms and lockers is at guests’ own risk. Items left behind after closing time will be removed and treated as lost property. No liability is assumed for lost property, money, or valuables, even from locked lockers or the parking area.

7. Operational Restrictions and Access Control

For safety and fire protection reasons, visitor numbers may be limited. The operator reserves the right to temporarily deny entry in case of overcrowding. No claims for damages or refunds may arise from this.

The operator may also temporarily restrict or interrupt operations (e.g. for maintenance, technical issues, or force majeure).

8. Admission Conditions and Supervision

Children aged 7 and older may visit Fun World unaccompanied; the operator’s staff does not assume supervisory duties. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Guests must follow all staff instructions and posted signs. In cases of serious or repeated violations, the operator may expel guests from the premises; entry fees will not be refunded.

9. Safety Regulations

  • No glass, porcelain, sharp objects, or personal toys are allowed.
  • Open flames, candles, and smoking are strictly prohibited inside the building. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
  • False alarms caused by violations (e.g. triggering fire service response) will be charged to the responsible person.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or posing a safety risk, may be denied entry.

10. Rental Items and Damages

Rental items (e.g. play equipment, party accessories) must be returned before leaving the premises. Any damage or loss must be compensated.

11. Photo, Film, and Video Recordings

Photography and filming are generally permitted provided that other guests’ privacy rights are respected. Publishing images or videos of other persons requires their consent. Commercial recordings or press work require written permission from Fun World Switzerland AG.

Fun World Switzerland AG reserves the right to create photo and video recordings for advertising or documentation purposes during regular operations. By entering the premises, guests consent to potential publication (e.g. website, social media, flyers). Anyone objecting may notify staff at any time.

12. Video Surveillance

Selected areas of the building are monitored by video for the safety of guests and staff. Recording complies with data protection law (DSG) and is used solely for security and incident tracking purposes. Data is only shared with authorities when legally required and deleted within statutory retention periods.

13. Parking

Use of parking spaces is at the guest’s own risk. The operator is not obligated to supervise or protect parking areas from damage (e.g. broken glass, nails).

Camera-based systems record license plates and parking times upon entry and exit to manage parking, process payments, and enforce parking rules. Data is processed exclusively for these purposes and deleted after statutory retention periods. No data is used for marketing.

14. RFID Wristbands and Payment System

Upon entry, guests receive an RFID wristband serving as an electronic key and cashless payment method within the facility. The wristband grants access to attractions and can be topped up for additional services such as games, food, or drinks. Billing occurs upon exit at the cashier.

Limitations

  • Children’s wristbands: spending limit CHF 20.00
  • Adult wristbands: no spending limit
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for children’s wristband use

Recommendation: Keep wristbands securely on your wrist. Liability for misuse prior to loss notification is excluded.

15. Public Transport Ticket Offer (Zone 10 Lucerne)

Fun World Switzerland AG offers a day ticket for Zone 10 (Lucerne) to guests arriving by public transport. The ticket is provided by third-party companies (VBL and SBB) and allows same-day travel to and from the venue.

  • Available only to guests who book online via the Fun World website.
  • No entitlement for spontaneous or on-site purchases.
  • The cost is fully covered by Fun World Switzerland AG for online bookings; no refund or replacement applies in case of non-use or cancellation.
  • Fun World accepts no liability for delays or failures of transport services; VBL and SBB terms apply.

16. Data Protection

Fun World Switzerland AG processes personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws (DSG, GDPR where applicable). This includes data collected in connection with bookings, the RFID payment system, video surveillance, parking management, and public transport offers. Data is used solely for contract fulfillment, safety, and customer communication.

17. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law exclusively applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Fun World Switzerland AG in Obernau (Canton of Lucerne), unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise.

18. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a regulation that most closely reflects its economic intent.
